Pressure-sensitive safety mats create an active protective zone around hazardous machinery: when weight is applied anywhere on the mat, the switching layer signals the controller, which sends an immediate stop to the guarded machine. Compared with fences and pullbacks, mats keep full visibility of and access to the work area and reduce operator fatigue.
Hermetically sealed (NEMA 6 / IP67) against oils, coolant, and washdown; flexible switching structure with no rigid steel electrodes to rust, dent, or create dead zones. Four-wire design gives the controller the redundancy to detect wiring damage. Typical applications: welding robots, assembly machinery, material handling cells.
Standard sizes from 24" × 24" up to 60" × 60" (24×36, 24×48, 30×48, 36×36, 36×48, 36×60, 36×72, 48×48, 48×60, 48×72 in between) plus custom sizes and multi-mat layouts.
